Mark Albini grew up in New Jersey. At the young age of five, he spent all of his time in the woods. He enjoyed hunting every animal he could catch with his hands. Behind his home in Westwood New Jersey, there were patches of woods and a brook that was teeming with life. For a boy who loves animals his childhood home was a paradise.
Most of his days were spent catching and raising the animals he was permitted to keep at home. He had the rare opportunity at a very young age to observe the different animal behaviors in both the wild and in captivity. A few years later Albini’s family moved to the nearby town of Hillsdale New Jersey. By coincidence, he had more woods behind this home and the exact same brook he had at his prior home just four miles away.
Albini also loved his sports. He played Youth Baseball and Football but his best accomplishment was that he acquired 12 Varsity Letters in High School Athletics. Four years later he graduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts in Business.
His young adult years were spent going from one job to another until he became a Real Estate Broker in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Writing a children’s book series never entered his mind but one-day things changed by accident. To help out a young and upcoming artist he offered to write a children’s book for her to illustrate and show off her talents. A week later she decided to get married and moved away, but Albini kept writing………and this is what he wrote!
